Maternity & Breastfeeding |
Maternity and Feeding In the first three months of pregnancy, your cup size will increase by around 1-2 sizes. Your back band will also increase by 1-2 sizes due to the ribcage expanding as the diaphragm and stomach are pushed under the ribs as baby grows. If, for example, you were a size 34D, you will probably fit into 36DD. When fitting a maternity bra, start on the tightest hook so that you can loosen the back band as your pregnancy progresses and your body expands. It is normally a more comfortable choice to go for a non-wired bra during this period. A wired bra may cause discomfort by pressing into the breast tissue and the ribcage. There are fewer fuller-sized, firm-support feeding bras available so therefore we can convert regular bras into feeding bras at a cost of R20 per bra. Imported feeding hooks are used, making them more user friendly. |
